  11. In this sample configuration three categories are defined.  These will be used
  12. to categorize the files described in MULTSRCH.CFG.

  16.    The first line MUST contain the EXACT number of categories which you plan
  17.                to have available in the menu!  No more, no less.
  18.                  Do NOT skip lines or add spaces between lines.

  21. LINE DESCRIPTION OF ABOVE EXAMPLE:

  23. Line 1:
  24.         Contains  the EXACT number of categories  you wish to define. Problems
  25.         will  arise  if  this number is  greater  than the number of available
  26.         descriptions.  The example above has three descriptions, therefore the
  27.         number  on line 1 is 3. If you add descriptions don't forget to update
  28.         this value. Otherwise the categories will not be displayed.

  30. Other lines:
  31.         The  remaining  lines are used to  describe the categories. You should
  32.         limit  the length of these descriptions  to 30 characters or less, not
  33.         including color codes (80 max with codes).

  35. Now  that  the  categories  are defined you  may  use  them in MULTSRCH.CFG to
  36. categorize  your documents. To do this enter  the number of the description in
  37. line  4  of the file description in  MULTSRCH.CFG. For example: If you want to
  38. put the second file in MULTSRCH.CFG in the "Gaming Information" category put a
  39. 2 on line 4 of the file description. "Gaming Information" is number two in the
  40. list above.

  42. You can do this much easier using MULTEDIT.CFG - particularly if you have lots
  43. of documents in your menu.

  48. If  you edit MAIN.CFG and change the order of the entries then you MUST change
  49. the   category  in  each  entry  in  MULTSRCH.CFG  as  well.  The  entries  in
  50. MULTSRCH.CFG use a number for the category, and this number points to an entry
  51. in MAIN.CFG. It will use whatever category name is in that entry position.
